Reason for Hope

Today, we have some good news for parents and grandparents discouraged by the present state of education in America. If you are disheartened by the growth of secularism, the multitude of problems in our nation’s public schools and disheartened by the weakening of basic values and beliefs held dear by Americans for generations, then I want to tell you about a historic and Biblical method of education that will restore our nation, now and for future generations. This method, called the Principle Approach®, is based on the Hebrew model of “teaching and learning” and trains the whole person for lifelong, obedient service in the knowledge of God and is centered in the home.

Refined through the Reformation, this method was brought to its fullness by our colonial forbears as a Biblical, classical, principled approach to education. The first fruits of this method was our United States Constitution, penned by individuals who were schooled in a Biblical worldview. No other form of government in all recorded history, before or since, has offered such civil liberty to the individual. As Benjamin Rush, a signer of the Declaration of Indpendence, wrote, “The only foundation for a useful education in the Republic is to be laid in the Bible. Without this there can be no virtue and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of governments.”

As Christians, we must protect our God-given liberty and form of Christian self-government. According to the PEERS test, students taught from a Principle Approach curriculum score the highest in a Biblical worldview position. Although we live in troubling times, we also live at a thrilling moment in God’s providence. Two millenia of Christian thought has made us the recipients of the knowledge and wisdom of a Biblical model of education, which will form individuals to know and love and God and citizens that will protect our God-given liberty.

The Foundation of American Education has distilled the Principle Approach educational methodology into the Noah Plan® curriculum. The Noah Plan has been designed and tested for over 50 years and proven to produce both academic excellence and provide a bedrock of Biblical principles for our children. The purpose of the Noah Plan curriculum is to be “an ark” in which the American Christian spirit can ride the deluge of rising anti-Christian and anti-republican waters which threaten so often to inundate the nation.

Will you set out in your ark today? The same Providential faith that sustained Noah and empowered our Founders will save your children from a pervasive and morally corrupt worldview. There is a Reason for Hope! Join with us as we renew our minds—and our children’s—for teaching and learning.
